At Byfield School we take the children off site for a number of reasons. The children are made aware of their local community by being in and around Byfield. We sometimes take the children to look at the local buildings or to the church to find out about what goes on there.
In the summer the children may go for a long walk in the countryside. In order that you are not bombarded with lots of permission forms we ask you to sign to say that you agree to your child going off site from time to time. We always ensure that there is a good pupil - adult ratio for such activities.
If we are planning to go further a field we will always seek your permission and will send you a permission slip. If the permission slip is mislaid you can print one and send it in to school.
