Nursery

Byfield Nursery

Byfield Nursery is a friendly village nursery set in a purpose-designed building on the site of Byfield Primary School, Northamptonshire. We take children from their second birthday until they start in reception. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and provide a wide range of free-flow activities both indoors and outdoors including imaginative play, arts and crafts, cooking, sensory play and forest school. We work closely with the reception class at Byfield School and we regularly use their facilities. We also offer transition sessions with the reception teacher to prepare the children for starting school. Ofsted rated us as Good with Outstanding for personal development, behaviour and welfare.

We are open Monday to Friday from 8:45am – 3:15pm during term time. We have funded places available and we accept childcare vouchers.

If you would like further information or would like to make an appointment to look round the nursery, please email us at byfieldnursery@stowevalley.com  or call us on 01327 260349

Learning through play!

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, further details of which are available in the Information for Parents at www.gov.uk/earlyyears. Each session we provide a range of activities and resources for the children to explore and participate in. Some activities will be adult led while others are available for more free play. We include lots of sensory play and craft activities. We also use the nursery garden, school playground, field and school hall for games and PE. Writing/drawing materials are always available and often incorporated into other situations such as the role play area.  We also encourage the children to bring in occasional special items from home to talk about during our show and tell time.
