COVID Risk Assessment

Our Current Rules of Picking up children:

Due to the rate in Daventry area rising this week (7/10/20) from 18 cases in 100,000 last week, to 54, we are making a few changes to drop-off and pick up.  We need to make a few alterations so that parents can continue to come onto school site - this handover period is important for many children to feel settled when they come into school in the mornings.  We have not made any changes to the timings, but please read below for clarification.
  • Only one adult be on the playground for drop-off and pick up for each family.
  • We request that all adults wear a facemask while you are on school site unless you have any medical conditions which mean you are unable to do so.
  • Please adhere to social distancing rules
  • Doors in both blocks will be open from 8:45 - 9:00.  Please try to arrive in this window so there is no waiting around. Please try to avoid coming onto site before this time unless your child is at breakfast club.
    • At the end of the day there will continue to be a staggered end time.
    • 3:10 - Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
    • 3:15 - Nursery, Year 3 and Year 4.
    • 3:20 - Year 5 and 6.
  • Adhere to the one-way system.
  • Use class-dojo messaging, email or phoning the school to speak with the teacher where possible.
  • Parents are not to enter any building, if you need to come into the office, please ring the bell and someone will come out to you.
Within classes, except for frequent handwashing reminders, our focus remains on education, the nature of all risk assessments is to prevent the virus entering any bubble.  Please ensure you get a test and speak to the school if your child, or anyone in your household has the following symptoms:
  • High temperature,
  • New Continuous Cough
  • Loss of Smell.
I know that coming into the winter period, there are going to be more cases of germs and bugs which have these same symptoms - however to keep everyone safe it is important that each time these symptoms become apparent a test is carried out.
