Early Years
When children start school at four years of age, we want them to be as happy as possible and to enjoy school life.
We have a wide range of activities and games, to aid their personal and social skills. We also have games and computer programs to help with the children's reading and number skills.
During the first half term, new Reception children will attend school in the mornings only, giving them a chance to settle in and adjust to the surroundings of 'big school'. Children of this age tire easily during their first term at school.
The Reception children participate in all subject areas at a level appropriate to their ability and begin to follow the National Curriculum when they reach Year 1.
