About Byfield PTA
Last year…..The PTA raised £7,469, which is a fantastic achievement and we want to pass on our thanks to everybody who helped, supported and attended the events we ran. This enabled the school to buy much-needed ICT equipment, to send the children on a wide variety of school trips, provide educational visits and classroom resources, and to purchase a new Oxford Reading Tree scheme.
We would like to try and exceed last year and have set ourselves a fundraising target of £8,000. With school budgets tighter than ever, the school has no budget for school trips or classroom resources, and just £100 for ICT equipment. So the work of the PTA is yet again fundamental to the enrichment of your child’s education.
Committee members this year are:
Jane Smith (Deanna, Year 3)
Paula Warne (Elise, Year 5)
Ainsley Taylor (Josh, Year 4 and Zac, Year 1)
Emma Humphrey (Catherine, Reception)
George Hillman (Freya, Year 3 and Arthur, Year 1)
Lucy Shepherd (Guy, Year 5 and Oliver, Year 2)
Lynsey Turner (Rosie, Year 6)
Roseanne Lyddon (Tom, Year 2 and Hazel, Nursery)
Interested in joining the PTA?
Can you spare a couple of hours a month? We understand everyone's time is precious but the more support we get the greater the impact we can have. You can choose what time you dedicate and all we ask is an enthusiasm to help. Drop us a message via social media or email or come and talk to us in the playground to find out more.
DID YOU KNOW…? You don’t have to be a committee member to help out?
We’re looking for helpers for a pool of ‘PHONE-A-FRIEND’ volunteers. Can you offer a few ad-hoc hours of your time to help us with planning and running our events? If so, please contact one of the team or send us a message and a member of the PTA will be in touch.
Please help where you can, any help is much appreciated.
